Exhaust. Providing the bark for the bite, the KTM 1290 SUPER ADVENTURE S features a completely reworked exhaust system. Two new headers lead the exhaust gas to a hydroformed collector chamber with two catalytic converters. These, in conjunction with 3 lambda sensors allow the emissions to stay within the latest limits.
Four riding modes (Sport, Street, Rain, Off-Road) adjust engine output, throttle response and traction control, with Rain and Off-Road lowering output to 90 horsepower and 65 lb-ft of torque.
INCREASED FUEL ECONOMY. Although extremely powerful and comprehensively equipped, the 1190 Adventure R consumes about 20 per cent less fuel than its equally heavy (230 kg fully fuelled) predecessor with a smaller tank. Together with an impressive 23-litre tank capacity, the range is suitable for desert use.
