I would recommend ordering new bolts from the dealer, cheap insurance and probably 2-3 days away. I had a couple intake bolts break when tearing down my 84 500 SEC AMG. Ensure that you have a new gasket for your thermostat. The old gasket should be removed and discarded. Tighten the two bolts and reconnect the radiator hose. Do not overtighten the two bolts. If you have a torque wrench, you can tighten these two bolts to approximately 10Nm. Add coolant to the radiator expansion tank.
