It should be renewed at approx. 149.000 miles. 2 L Ecoboost deffo a chain. No servicing required. BMW 320i M Sport 2020 New G20 model.
SOURCE: mondeo tdci hi there, you will need a diagnostic check carried out to locate the exact fault, most garages have the equipment to carry out these checks so you won't need to visit your ford agent, a common fault on the engines is the camshaft sensor these cost around £20 and are very easy to replace, however once you have it tested you will now your exact fault, hope this helps

Engine drives the cams the cams drive the power steering belt/pump. Power steering on the right of the engine as you look into the engine bay. So if that moves then the chain has not gone. The chains do jump teeth. but you normally get a lot of rattling before or something like bump starting it. causes that.
